Our minimum charge for digital edge-to-edge quilting is $75, regardless of item size or type of quilting. If you have smaller items that can be loaded together on the same backing, we will treat them.
To determine the area of your quilt in square inches, multiply the length of the quilt top by the width of the quilt top. For example, a quilt top that is 80 inches long and 60 inches wide has an area of 4800 square inches.
To calculate the quilting rate, multiply the area by the rate. The quilt from the previous example would cost 4800 x 0.025 = $120 for low density, 4800 x 0.030 = $144 for medium density, and 4800 x 0.035 = $168.
We are happy to consider requests for Custom and Semi-Custom digital quilting. The availability of this type of service depends on our workload.
Semi-custom is digital quilting with a custom quilted border and digital border-to-border quilting over the body of the quilt. Custom quilting is generally digital, with some free motion and ruler quilting. Custom quilting includes block-by-block designs, custom borders, and any other specifically placed digital patterns or free-motion quilting. There are no fixed rates for non-edge-to-edge quilting, and the service is subject to availability – it depends on how much edge-to-edge work we have lined up.
Besides our Standard and Premium digital designs, we will consider other digital designs with the understanding that if we do not already own the design, extra charges could apply. We also have the capability to create bespoke digital designs in case you do not find what you are looking for. Again, additional charges will apply depending on the complexity of the design.
We generally maintain the inventory of our favorite batting, and we can offer this at a cost lower than you would expect to pay for a package of batting. Besides this, buying this batting directly from us helps you by reducing the cost of shipping your quilt top to us and leaves the hassle of figuring out exactly how much batting you will need from us!
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square-inch price. Our current batting prices are:

We will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin). For Example: for a 60" x 80" quilt, we would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
Note that if the short side of the quilt exceeds the width of the batting by less than 5", we will have to make other arrangements. Please add this to your comments when you book your quilt, and we will work out a solution together.
We recommend that you trim your quilt right before you are ready to bind the quilt – this helps maintain the integrity of the stitching along the edges of your quilt. If you want us to trim your quilt, we will trim it, making it as square as possible without compromising the design of the quilt so that it is ready for binding.
We offer machine binding to give your quilt a professional finishing touch. Binding services are subject to availability and depend on our workload. Please read through our instructions for preparing your binding.
Note that the binding charge below does not include trimming cost – if you choose binding, please add the trimming charge as well.

We use the Fil-Tec Glide thread exclusively. Thread cost is separate and is not included in the quilting charge. Thread usage varies depending on quilting design, quilt size, batting selection, and fabric types.
Our thread charge is $2.00 per bobbin and will never exceed $12.00 for any quilt. Most quilts require 4-5 bobbins. We keep many colors in stock – we tend to favor neutral colors and will suggest matching the lightest colors in the quilt top. However, this is your quilt, and we will honor your thread color choice.
To view available thread colors, please check the Fil-Tec Glide color card here.
We will piece your backing for you for $25. Please refer to our quilt preparation instructions for special directions on preparing your backing. Please note that when we piece your backing, we will not make any attempt to align the pattern. We will do our best to center a pieced back on the quilt but please do not expect precise alignment.
