Dottie

Dottie is a beauty! Can you guess how she got her name?  Just look at her dots!  So fun!  Each green ”Dot” is hand-stitched down with tiny stitches.  You can tell by her precise dots that her maker was on the side of perfection.  Dottie had been sitting, waiting to be quilted for a long time.  She is full of fun, fun fabrics.   My favorite is a little duck wearing a bonnet.  Can you spy it?  There are so many different fabrics in this quilt.  I wonder where they all came from. 

Dottie needed a few seams repaired but was in great shape overall.    As I quilted Dottie, I thought about her maker. Thinking of her cutting out each tiny piece of fun fabrics and those perfect green circles!   She has a new cotton backing, 80/20 batting and has a new cotton binding.   She has been laundered and is so soft.  Grab a cup of tea, your favorite book and spend the afternoon with Miss Dottie.
